Hi
The excitement about Puritans, Plagues,
and Promises continues! The General Society of Mayflower Descendants, with its 54 Chapters worldwide, has booked me to present a program in November 2023: A Mayflower Merchant Adventurer from the Beginning: William Collier. I'll share about Collier's importance to the establishment, survival, and success of Plymouth Colony from 1619 through his death in 1671.
It will be a virtual presentation on Tuesday evening, 7 pm EST, November 14th, the week before Thanksgiving. Mayflower Society's Executive Director, Mark Schmidt, tells me they usually attract an audience of 250-300 participants. Save the
Date!
December is the month of fine-tuning the manuscript for Puritans, Plagues, and Promises. It's on schedule for the publisher's editing team due on January 4th. I also
want to thank those of you who have sponsored images. There is still time to have you or a loved one acknowledged in the book, but I need your pledge before Christmas. What a great gift that would make! If you'd like more information, send me a note through the website form.
If there are no glitches in production, Puritans, Plagues, and Promises hardcover limited edition copies, autographed and numbered, should be available by early May. The final pricing will be known when editing and layout is completed, probably in February. Currently, it's estimated to be about $40 per copy. One note: if you sponsor an image or donate
to support the research and publication costs at or above the same level, your reserved copies will be first in line and included in your sponsorship.
